About Us

TC and I have been riding Horses for the past 30 years.

It all began with the love for country living and a Walking Horse, and we've made it a family thing ever since.

We’ve worked and lived locally all of our lives (Ross, Jackson, & Vinton Counties) 

Traveling the US I’ve seen many equine facilities but longed to provide and maintain the simple and peaceful versus extravagant and luxurious - that’s not our vision.  Serenity Acres Homestead was named for the peaceful tranquility this Homestead provides throughout. 

Add my love for shabby farmhouse chic – it seems to be the ideal match for our Bed n Breakfast/Airbnb dream

We’re approaching retirement

Always wanted off-grid living with dogs, horses (animals)

Now we can share our dream with others who appreciate the off grid / primitive living style.

June 2025 we will open our AirBNB/Bed n Breakfast to the Public. The facility also offers the ideal spot for a Wedding and Event Venue as well.  Our Homestead also features an indoor riding arena, horse boarding, and equine services all in the middle of southern Ohio’s Amish community.  

Also new in 2025 is our Cottage Bakery - for all your favorite Amish baked goods!
